Hello and thank you for taking the time to read about my practice! I am excited you're interested in sexual and relational health and may be interested in therapy. I am passionate about providing high quality, specialized care to all of my clients. That’s why I created Equilibrium Therapy Services PLLC- to help improve your sexual and relational wellbeing. I offer services both in-person and via telehealth which means you can choose what works best for you! If you'd like to meet with me in person, you can do so in Andover, Minnesota. If you'd like to meet via telehealth you can do so from anywhere in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
Even if therapy is not something you are ready to commit to, I encourage you to explore my website as I offer a variety of information and resources, free of charge. You will find a blog regarding sexual health, a variety of podcast episodes related to general mental and relational health, and a Facebook page where I offer weekly tips and information. I also offer free 15 minute consultations to anyone considering therapy services to ensure goodness of fit and to alleviate possible concerns or worries about the therapeutic process.
What to Expect
Previous clients and colleagues have described me as calm, non-reactive, and non-judgmental while simultaneously offering accountability and direct feedback. I am pragmatic, grounded, and realistic. I have been told I often offer clients a new perspective and help them discover new insights into themselves and their patterns while encouraging them to make their own decisions and life choices. I believe therapy is a process that takes time but should also be a good use of your time! I am receptive to feedback and want to know what works for you and what doesn’t.
My goal is to create a therapeutic space and relationship that feels safe enough to explore complex feelings, thoughts, histories, and beliefs while also keeping in mind the goal of therapy is to no longer need therapy. To this end, therapy often includes a mix of skill building, emotional exploration and processing, and practicing new patterns of behavior while learning to recognize and change the areas of our lives we have influence over. Therapy can also include accepting and learning how to live with the things we don’t have control over or can't change. One of my main focuses in therapy is helping people to better understand and feel secure within themselves and in their relationships.

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, my Professional Development Certificate at University of Wisconsin, Stout, and am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. I’ve worked in several outpatient settings providing individual, family, and couples therapy; as an in-home therapist for families with Child Protective Services involvement; as an in-home therapist for individuals and families with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness; and in an emergency department providing crisis assessments and stabilization. I am Level 2 Internal Family Systems (IFS) trained, Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) advanced trained, Gottman Level 1 trained, and am Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) basic trained.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I managed an assisted living facility for adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries, worked as an Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) worker and Children’s Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) worker, and volunteered with the Sexual Violence Center as a sexual assault advocate.
