Supervision

About

I am a MN LMFT and LPC/LPCC Board-Approved Supervisor and provide outside supervision to pre-licensed professionals who are pursuing their post-graduate clinical training.  In addition to being a board-approved supervisor, I also provide MFT supervision under AAMFT mentoring.  This means that if you receive supervision from me, those supervision hours will count towards the supervision hours needed for AAMFT membership.

For LGSW/LISW: The MN Board of Social Work allows for up to 25% of supervision hours to be provided by an alternate licensing supervisor or up to 100% of supervision hours in select circumstances.  Contact me to discuss this further.

Supervisory Style

As a supervisor, my focus is on developing your unique talents and abilities as a therapist while also attending to your potential areas of growth and overall professional competence.  Supervision with me will focus on a variety of topics including case consultation, self of the therapist, legal and ethical concerns, contextual factors such as gender, race, socioeconomic status, etc., and long-term professional development.  I believe supervision is a process that takes time and may shift and change over time.  My goal as a supervisor is to create an environment that is both safe to discuss concerns and difficulties while also fostering accountability and growth.

Professional Background

As a clinician, I have had a variety of clinical experiences that may benefit you including:

Supervision Format & Details

At this time, I primarily provide supervision virtually; however, if you would like to meet in person, I am open to discussing that.  Once we establish a supervisory relationship, we will create and sign a supervisory contract detailing supervisory expectations, goals for your professional development, how often we will meet, and how we will navigate potential ethical, legal, or relational concerns.

Please contact me if you would like to learn more or discuss receiving supervision from me.  I do offer potential supervisees a free 30 minute consult to determine if we would be a good fit or not.
